The Cenotaph commemorates those from Trayning and Yelbeni District who died in service or were killed in action in World War One and World War Two. The memorial was originally erected in memory of the fallen of World War One. 

Trayning Titbits. The local branch of the R.S.L. are going to erect a monument in memory of our fallen soldiers; subscription lists are now open and the money is rolling in fast for this deserving cause. The fund is in the capable hands of Joe Hart.
