Paskeville R.S.S.A.I.L.A. Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates members of the Paskeville RSL Sub-Branch who served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
Honor Roll.—On Saturday evening, June 25, Paskeville R.S.L. sub-branch was honored by a visit from the State President, Mr A. S. Blackburn. V.C. The main purpose of his visit was to unveil the Sub-branch Honor Roll, which is a beautiful piece of work. A sumptuous dinner, held in the Paskeville hall, for which high praise is due to the R.S.L. Ladies Auxiliary, preceded the unveiling. The Loyal Toast was proposed by the sub-branch president (Mr H. L. Oliver) who also welcomed Mr Blackburn.
High class musical items and comedy sketches, interspersed with toasts, held the attention of the hundred odd guests, who lined the tables. At 9 o'clock Mr R. Priestly made reference to "departed comrades'' and Mr J. Altman sounded the "Last Post' and 'Revielle. The duties of toast master were ably carried out by Mr W. Curnow.
