The Mitcham Schools Memorial Walk commemorates Mitcham students and staff who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The walk also contains a memorial stone which acknowledges the service of more than 800 former Mitcham and Brown Hill Creek School students and staff. Plaques on the walk commemorate indivuals who have died on active service. The plaque displays the date of school enrolment or circa if attendance was before 1922.

The "Mitcham Remembers Project"
This project perpetuates the memory of more than 800 former Mitcham and Brown Hill Creek School students and staff who served Australia actively in wars. The memorial stone acknowledges their service.
A nominal roll listing of all who served is held in the school.
Plaques in the Memorial Walk honour those individuals who died on active service. Each plaque displays the date of school enrolment or circa if attendance was before 1922.
A comprehensive of resources is available to support students' learning.
Mitcham School Council cares for the 2 / 48th Infantry Battalion crosses and banner. Mitcham students were well represented in the 2 / 48th Battalion including six members who have plaques in the Memorial Walk.
The "Mitcham Remembers" Project was developed in 2009 with the support of parent volunteers, the School Council, staff, community partners, the Daws Road Centre, the Government of South Australia and the Department of Veterans` Affairs.
