Traynor`s Lagoon War MemorialPrint Page
The War Memorial commemorates those from Traynor`s Lagoon and District who died in service or were killed in action during World Wars One and Two. The memorial was originally erected in memory of those who lost their lives in World War One. The names of the fallen of World War two were added to the memorial at a later date.
There was a large gathering at Traynor's Lagoon on the occasion of the unveiling of a monument, honor board and photos of soldiers. The president of the shire, Cr. T. Barratt, presided, and the unveiling ceremony was performed by Captain-Chaplain Neville, of Geelong.
