Somerville War MemorialPrint Page
Somerville War Memorial commemorates servicemen and women who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial was originally erected to commemorate those who served in World War One. The memorial was relocated to the Fruit Growers Reserve in 2014.
The unveiling ceremony in connection with the Somerville Soldiers' Memorial will take place on Sunday next, 4th inst., at 3 p.m. The Shire president (Mr. C. Jones) will preside and the unveiling ceremony will be carried out by the Hon. L. E. Groom, the Federal Attorney-General. The order of service is advertised in an other column, and it is expected that visitors from all parts of the Peninsula will be present to take part in the service.
