Morwell War MemorialPrint Page
A statue of a soldier at ease on top of a cenotaph in a railed enclosure commemorates those of the Morwell district who served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The memorial was originally erected in memory of those who served in World War One and the names of those who lost their lives are listed on the memorial. It was unveiled by Brigadier General Elliott on the 6th June 1921. Additional plaques were added to the memorial listing the names of those who lost their lives in World War Two, Korea, Vietnam and the Boer War.
