British Commonwealth Occupation Force - Remembrance DrivewayPrint Page
A portion of the Remembrance Driveway was established by the B.C.O.F. Veterans Association who planted Fig Trees and Poplars in 1962 and Lemon Scented Gums in 1992 in memory of their comrades who served with the British Commonwealth Occupation Force from 1945 -1952.
The Remembrance Driveway is on the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra this developed out of a desire to create a living memorial of trees to those who had served in World War Two, rather than construct more monuments.
