The hall commemorates those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The residents of Duncan's Creek and Woolomin met on 2 March 1946 to discuss building a war memorial hall. The floor from the last hall had been stored and money was raised by the local community through various social functions. With additional funds from a bank loan, the hall was built by November 1954.
Floods in February 1955 moved the hall to the site next door, where it was repaired by the community. On 25 November 1955 the hall was officially opened by Mr W.A. Chaffey, M.L.A.
