The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

It contains the honour roll of those from the district who served in World War Two as well as an honour roll of National Servicemen from the district who served btween 1951 and 1972. 

The World War One Honour Roll is behind the monument.
