Nelson Bay War MemorialPrint Page 
The monument commemorates those from the District who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
It is a sandstone obelisk with the central part having a polished black stone. The front and the sides to the left and right have engraved names. At the base on the front and the sides are the emblems of the three armed forces. On the rear panel are the plaques from the original "Nelson Bay Memorial Steps Roll of Honour" in white marble.
The point of the obelisk is engraved with a cross.
