The honour roll commemorates those from Morisset and Lake District who served in World War Two and the Korean War. The roll was originally unveiled in 1942 with additional names being added at a later date.

The Morisett and lake District Welfare Committee erected a progressive honour roll for district soldiers overseas. Out of 72 enlistments from the district, 65 names are shown on the honour roll, which was unveiled in the Memorial Hall, Morisset, on Tuesday night. Arrangements were in the hands of Mr. V. Broadbent (President) Mr. H. Butler (secretary), Mrs. Q. Tindall (Treasurer), and a committee. Addresses were given by Messrs. V. Broadbent, H. Butler, A. B. O'Hara, C. Lean, A. L. Hubbard, Smith, and Cr. B. M. Brown. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Cr. E. Gain, on behalf of the Shire President Cr. D. T. Johnston. Cr. Gain congratulated the committee on the splendid work it was doing on behalf of the men overseas.

The timber for the honour roll was contributed by Mr. Broadbent. Mr. H. Hawkins was responsible for the cabinet making, and Mr. E. Gamble for the inscribing. The Last Post was sounded by Messrs S. Gamble, and A. Burnett (cornets). Mesdames F. Burnett and E. Chenery, Misses E. Burnett, Fay Skene. E. M. and Fay Jack contributed to a programme, with Mrs. J. Denney accompanist, also Mr. G. Robbins (Toronto), and Mr. E. Kilday (Morisset). Miss A. Duggan (Teralba) supplied music for the dancing. Mr. H. Hawkins was M.C. The Chairman announced that a gala day in aid of funds would be held on Monday, January 26.
