Cobar Memorial Swimming PoolPrint Page
The Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool was erected in memory of those who died in service or were killed in action during World War One and World War Two.
The swimming pool was erected in 1962 for a cost of £70,000 of which about £18,000 was raised by local subscription, highlighted by the Back to Cobar Week held in May 1959. Loans for some of the costs involved were underwritten by Cobar Mines Pty Ltd and the Cobar Memorial Services Club. The pool underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2008.
