The plaque commemorates the Gurkha soldiers who have died in service or been killed in action in conflicts and war zones around the world.
This plaque was presented to the Werribee RSL by the local Gurkhas, as they did not have any other location to display the plaque they asked the RSL if the plaque could be mounted in the RSL.
The Gurkhas are soldiers of Nepalese nationality recruited into the British Army, Nepalese Army, Indian Army, Gurkha Contingent SIngapore, Gurkha Reserve Unit Brunei, and United Nations Peace Keeping forces.
