The wall commemorates the Centenary of Armistice and those who served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Funding of $6364 was received in 2018 through the Armistice Centenary Grants Program for the construction of the wall and arch.

The Northam and York RSL Sub-Branches have received funding from the Armistice Centenary Grants Program to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice of the First World War.

York RSL will put the money towards towards their ‘Remembering Their Service’ project that will see an arch with the words Lest We Forget manufactured and installed as an arch and the construction of a brick memorial wall with plaques. It will be placed in the Remembrance Garden where the community can come together on significant days to commemorate.
