Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers Print Page Print this page

The stained glass window was erected in memory of Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers who served in post World War Two conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The window was designed, created, installed and donated by Commodore Dacre Smyth AO RAN (Rtd.)

The Australian Navy's Clearance Diving Branch has been in existence since 1951, until which time, volunteer divers from all branches provided the Navy's diving needs. The Clearance Divers are also responsible for all explosive ordnance disposal.
