Savernake War MemorialPrint Page Print this page

The War Memorial is a sign commemorating those from Savernake and District who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

A new war memorial sign has been erected in Savernake as part of an initiative driven by the Corowa RSL Sub-Branch.

This is the fourth of five memorials earmarked to be erected at local villages within the area. To date the Sub-Branch has provided and installed signs in Rennie, Balldale, Coreen and now Savernake, with Lowesdale also set to receive a memorial.

The Savernake sign’s inscription reads, “dedicated to the citizens of Savernake who gave their service to the defence of our nation during its time of need.”

Representatives of the Corowa  Sub-Branch were joined by members of the Savernake community for the unveiling.
