The War Memorial commemorates those who have served in conflicts and peacekeeping activities in which Australia has been involved. 

The memorial plinth and plaque are surrounded by a brick memorial wall bearing the words ‘Lest We Forget’ The memorial was completed in time for ANZAC Day 2021 with the official unveiling held on the 10th July 2021. 

In addition to receiving $10,000 through the Coalition Government’s Saluting Their Service program, the Glenwood community raised $3,500 for the materials, the Gympie RSL provided funding for the plaque and volunteers laid the foundations and bricks for the wall.
