Kersbrook Roll of HonourPrint Page Print this page

The wooden honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War One and World War Two.

The roll was originally unveiled to commemorate those who served in World War One. A new plaque has been placed on the roll commemorating those who served in both World Wars.

KERSBROOK, May 14.—In spite of inclement weather, the arrangements for unveiling the roll of honor on Saturday were successfully carried out. The Premier (Hon. C. Vaughan) delivered a stirring address, and congratulated residents upon possessing such a fine roll of honor on which were 26 names of men who have gone from this district. Colonel S. Price Weir also spoke. Much interest is felt here at the expected arrival shortly of the returned wounded soldier, Private C. P. Harvey, who was severely wounded in France.
Chronicle (Adelaide), 19 May 1917.
