The Cenottaph commemorates those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The Warilla RSL sub-Branch Cenotaph is a rectangular granite monument, set within a memorial garden. Attached to the sides of the cenotaph are several plaques, bearing dedications and the names and dates of conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The garden also includes a flagpole and a columbarium, containing the ashes of local returned servicemen and servicewomen.

Funding was received in 2020/21 through the Saluting Their Service Grant Program for the restoration of the memorial.
