The window commemorates South Australian nursing sisters who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved from 1902 to 1945.
The stained glass window comprises eight panels of twenty sections, The upper panels represent blue sky with shafts of light. Originally located in the hospital chapel, it was moved to its present location in 2004.
Note:
The position of the plaques are adjacent to clear glass windows which was the location of the stained glass window in 2004. It is unknown by Monument Australia what happened to the original window but photos of the window can be viewed at
