Additional plaques were unveiled in 1993 and 1995 in the garden bed in front of the pool commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Remembrance Day and the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
CASINO, Sunday.— Three thousand people from all parts of the North Coast attended the opening of the £35,000 War Memorial Baths here. The Olympic standard pool was constructed to the memory of those who paid the supreme sacrifice in World War I and II. As soon as the Governor of N.S.W., Sir John Northcott, declared the baths open 300 children dived in from all sides.
