Two marble honour rolls commemorate those from the district who served in World War One.
The tablets were originally located on gates erected at Cardiff Park in memory of those who served in World War One. They were removed to the RSL in 2001. In 2013 the tablets were placed on headstones on either side of the RSL Memorial.
Even the last tribute paid to the men who made the supreme sacrifice In tho Great War is not immune from the work of vandals at Cardiff. Some time ago, at a cost of £125, a handsome pair of iron gates was erected at Cardiff Park, with memorial tablets fixed to the stone columns flanking the drive. The marble tablets have been chipped, and the names of the dead defaced. Attempts to apprehend the culprits have been unsuccessful thus far. Irresponsible youths and children are suspected, and it is intended to make an example of any who are caught damaging the tablets.
