The ANZAC BellPrint Page Print this page

The ANZAC Bell is the largest swinging bell in Australia and is a lasting memorial to Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women involved in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations around the world.

The ANZAC Bell was installed in October 2018 and the first official ring was the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day, the 11th November 2018, shortly after 11am. It is the largest bell of its kind ever made in Australia and was cast in Perth, Western Australia. The ANZAC Bell is expected to last over 500 years and weighs 6,500 Kg.

The Centenary of Anzac 2014 to 2018 was an important period of national commemoration for Australia. Marking 100 years since our involvement in World War I, the Anzac Centenary was a time to honour the service and sacrifice of our original ANZACs, and the generations of Australian servicemen and women who have defended our values and freedoms, in wars, conflicts and peace operations throughout a Century of Service.
