The flagpole commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The flag pole was erected for the inaugural ANZAC Day Dawn Service in 2009.

The Camping & Fishing Community erected The Flag Pole at "Tomato Island" boat ramp in readiness for the inaugural ANZAC Day Dawn Service at 0530 hrs 25 April 2009

The dedication of the Flag Pole was witnessed by 30 members of this community and were joined by the following
