The Warriors` ChapelPrint Page
The chapel of the church commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World War One and World War Two.
Archbishop Halse yesterday dedicated a "Warriors" Chapel at St. Mary's Church, Kangaroo Point. The chapel is in memory of those who gave their lives in both world wars. Consular representatives of the Allied Powers, representatives of the State Government, the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Navy, and ex-servicemen's organisations were present. The chapel altar is dedicated to the memory of Dr. L. Cooper, one of Queensland's first woman doctors, who was awarded the Order of St. Sava by the Serbian Government for her services in World War One.
