The hall was erected to commemorate those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It was opened on the 13th June 1945 and the plaque in honour of those who served was placed on the hall in 1958.
The Ladies Committee who so successfully carried through the project of the Weethalle Memorial Hall, and the opening ball on the 13th instant. express their thanks to all donors, the builders, Messrs Smith and Wicks of Temora, Mr. W.E. Berry, for supervision and advice, the public generally for their generous support of the ball and to Cr. Wallace for performing the opening ceremony.
