The former St Andrew`s Presbyterian Church Sunday School building was erected as a war memorial to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action during World Was One, World War Two and the Korean War.
Note: St Andrew's Presbyterian Church is now the Uniting Church.
New minister of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Horsham, the Rev. Reford Corr, B.A., began settlinig in at the manse yesterday with his wife and four children. Mr. Corr was minister at Yarrawonga for the last nine years and he spoke proudly of the new church memorial Sunday school there, completed at a cost of £11,000. Born at Bairnsdale, Mr. Corr was educated at Sprlng Road Central School and Melbourne High School. For six years he was a resident student at Ormond College, Melbourne University. During World War 2 he was commissioned a chaplain with the A.I.F. and spent several years in the south west Pacific.
