ANZAC Centenary Tribute Print Page
The plaque commemorates the people of Croydon Park who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved,
The plaque was part of a "Living History" project which features a set of etched stainless steel panels displaying stories about the ANZAC’s, the school and the Croydon Park community through different time periods, linked by the illustration of the Cooks River. These featured historical images, quotes and information aimed to educate the students, teachers and parents of Croydon Park Public School. A number of smaller plaques were also designed to enrich the School’s history, including a school map, an ANZAC tribute and an informational sign about the site of the old Principal’s residence.
Funding of $4959 was received in 2014 through the ANZAC Centenary Grants Program for the historical mural, signage and ANZAC plaque.

" Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives...
there is no difference between the Johnnies and the
Mehmets. After having lost their lives on this land
they have become our sons as well."
Ataturk 1934
