The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
A start has been made on the Bicheno War Memorial Hall. Five local trucks and 16 men comprised a working bee which carted 110 yards of sand to make the 14,000 bricks to be used in the construction of the hall, supper room and doctor's rooms. The Public Health Department has made a grant of £1200 available in order that departmental medical rooms may be incorporated in the hall building, and a further £700 has been raised locally. The completed structure is expected to cost £5000. As soon as plans are approved, the foundation will be laid.
