Ingleburn Station War MemorialPrint Page
The War Memorial commemorates those from Ingleburn who served in World War One and World War Two.
The memorial consists of three tablets made of black granite, polished, engraved and attached to upright concrete plinths. They were installed in front of Ingleburn Station as part of the station's southern entry forecourt renovation in 2015. The central tablet includes The Ode and is flanked on either side with tablets listing the names of Ingleburn men who served in the First and Second World Wars. Transport for NSW and contractor Arenco provided the three concrete plinths and the plaques were provided by the local RSL as part of a joint project between the RSL and Campbelltown City Council

The Ode
They went with songs to the battle,
They were young, straight of limb,
True of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end
Against odds uncounted
They fell with their face to the enemy.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we Forget.
