THE ROLE OF THE BREN GUN CARRIER WAS FOR A FAST LIGHT ARMOURED VEHICLE TO CARRY INFANTRY ACROSS GROUND DENIED BY SMALL-ARMS FIRE. IT WAS FURTHER EMPLOYED TO CARRY AMMUNITION , INFANTRY SUPPORT WEAPONS - 81 MM MORTARS AND MEDIUM MACHINE GUNS - 303 VICKERS MACHINE GUN. THESE CARRIED USED EXTENSIVELY WITHIN THE ARMOURED CORP IN EVERY CAMPAIGN DURING WW2, FROM THE WESTERN DESERT BY THE 9TH CAVALRY, SYRIA BY THE 6TH CAVALRY AND TO THE JUNGLES OF NEW GUINEA AND THE PACIFIC CAMPAIGNS.
