The honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World Wars One and Two.

This honour roll was relocated from the Moogara Community Hall in 2003.

Two years of splendid community effort in the small district of Moogara, in the Derwent Valley, culminated on Saturday with the opening of a new war memorial hall by the Minister for Forests (Mr. Hand). In the erection of the hall most of the young men in the district provided a week's labour on the building or subscribed the equivalent for someone else to work with the contractor, Mr. H. Burns. The building replaces a hall destroyed by fire a few years ago. The new building cost £1,800.  An honour roll in the hall unveiled by Mr. Hand was donated by Mr. L. McWatt, of Hobart. It contains the names of 30 young men who served in the last war, and six servicemen of the First World War.
