The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The original hall was erected to commemorate those who served in World War One, and was replaced by the current hall in 1968.

Warrenheip residents have fell very much the need of a hall wherein concerts, dances, and meetings could he held. A committee was formed recently for the purpose of inaugurating a scheme to find means to purchase a building, and a variety of euchre tourneys and other entertainments were devised whereby a sum was raised sufficieent to enable the committee to bargain for a hall and within the course of a few weeks the inhabitants expect to be in the proud position of being possessed of a building to be known as the Warrenheip Memorial Hall, out of respect to a number of soldiers who enlisted from this district.
