Queensland Light Horse ContingentsPrint Page
Six bottle trees (Brachychiton rupestris) were planted by Sir Donald James Cameron to commemorate the six Queensland Light Horse Regiments that served in the South African (Boer) War.
It is believed that the trees came from Cameron's property at Longreach, Queensland. Three of the original trees have been replaced.
