Italian Sailors Monument : 20-September-2012

Monument constructed by Italian Prisoners-of-War at Murchison Camp 13 is believed to commemorate Italian sailors who had died during World War Two. An anchor is located on the monument.
The names on the monument are hard to read, but are listed in the Italian Memorial Ossario in the Murchison Cemetery.
