The monument was built by Vietnam Veterans to commemorate the Australian, New Zealand and Allied service personnel who lost their lives in the Vietnam War, and in other conflicts and peacekeeping operations that Australian, New Zealand and other Allied forces have been involved in.
Flags are flown every Friday at the monument.
