The hall commemorates those who served in World War One and World War Two.  A mural depicting many theatres of war covers the back wall of the stage of the Memorial Hall in Yuleba. Painted by Robert Fred (known as Fred) Doyle in 1964, the mural was unveiled by the Honourable F G R (Frank) Nicklin, then Premier of Queensland on the 9th October 1964.

The new Memorial Hall was opened on the 15th May 1954 by Mr A. Dohring M.L.A. who also unveiled the honour board erected by the Bendemeer Shire Council to those who served in World War Two. The stage was adorned with the Union Jack and the Australian flag draped on either side of a photo of the Queen.
