Koumala War MemorialPrint Page
The monument was dedicated on the 18th April 1958 to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The dedication saw a large contingent of troops training on Koumala Range taking part. A brass plaque was added to the monument in 2006. The Sarina RSL for the 2010 ANZAC Day commemorations arranged for eight brass plaques to be attached to commemorate eight men from Koumala who died in World War Two.
Trees have recently been planted by the school children with each tree representing those who died in service or were killed in action from the District.
