The Croaker Memorial Church commemorates Frederick James Croaker, who was the manager of the Walhallow station, which was owned by the New Zealand and Australian Land Company.   

After his death in 1920, a committee was formed to raise funds to build a church at Caroona, and it was dedcied to dedicate the church in memory of Frederick Croaker.
