The monument commemorates the women of the Fassifern District.
The monument is a 4 metre semi-circular altar made of local trancite rock, a shape intended to convey "protection and welcome", over which flows a fountain across a small stone cairn into a pool and thence into the lake and its eventual destination `to nourish and prosper the lands of Fassifern`

Erected by the Shire of Boonah
The original District of Fassifern discovered by Commandant patrick Logan 1827. Settlement began in this valley 1842.
This plaque was donated by the Queensland Women`s Historical Association.
Unveiled September 7th 1968 by Mrs. Annie Muller
