The rose gardens commemorate the early settlers of Corrigin.

Also known as Lawton Gardens, the gardens are named in honour of J. H. B. Lawton who served 33 years on the Corrigin Roads Board, thirteen of them as the Chairman. The bushes and trees were planted to a design by members of the local Rose society, who also maintain the gardens.
