Front Inscription

In grateful remembrance to the men and women pioneers of the Mogriguy District

They came, they worked, they stayed and multiplied to develop the district of Mogriguy, overcoming the setbacks of the great WWI and the Great Depression.

They were :
Farmers, Shopkeepers, Shearers, Sleeper Cutters, Pole and Firewood Cutters, Horse and Bullock Teamsters,
Railway Workers, Semi Skilled Builders, Fencing and Scrub Clearing Contractors, Ochre Miners, School Teachers and Ministers of Religion.

Public buildings constructed :

The Mogriguy Public School - The AWB Grain Storage
The Mogriguy Memorial Hall - The Post Office
The Church of England Church

The NSW Government Railways provided "The Life Blood For The Bush" connecting the bush to the city, providing transport for the people and goods as well as stock and produce to the Sydney markets.
