This memorial marks the 120th anniversary of the founding of the town of Albany now Gin Gin

The first building was erected at Black Gully approximately 400 metres south east of this cairn

This was the manned Gin Gin Electric Telegraph Office opened in 1873

This building at later dates became Gin Gin`s first Post Office first Council Chamber and first School 

In its 120th year this historical building is a private residence at Phillipi Town, Gin Gin 

Dedicated on October 17, 1993
