Mornington Park FlagpolePrint Page Print this page

Flagpole resembling the signal mast of a ship set in brown stone and mortar in a circular base in a paved area with seats and bollards with chains. One plaque indicates the Shire Council's work in redeveloping the park in 1983 with Government funding.

The 150th Anniversary water feature, a waterfall and pond basin, was dedicated on Australia Day 1985. The flagpole base bears three plaques  to Matthew Flinders, Alexander Balcombe and Joseph Garlick.
