Joint Defence FacilityPrint Page 
Celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Joint Defence facility at Nurrungar. Nurrungar was opened by the United States Air Force in 1971 as an early-warning system in the South Australian outback. In the 1980`s, the base became a joint facility operated by both Australian and American personnel.
