Missing Persons MemorialPrint Page Print this page

The memorial is an initiative of the Zonta Club of Peel Region, with support from the City of Mandurah, and is located at the Old War Memorial site adjacent to Administration Bay, north of the Mandurah Visitors Centre. Friends and family of the missing have the opportunity to include their own memorial plaque on the structure.

The memorial was the idea of then Peel Zonta Club president Joyce O’Loughlin who fought long and hard to find a peaceful site where those with missing friends and family could find solace. It was blessed by the Rev Lesley de Grussa in 2006 and unveiled by incoming and outgoing Zonta presidents Ros Warwick and Wendy Kirkby.
