The monument commemorates those who served in World War One.

The war memorial was unveiled on the 12th February 1922 in front of a large attendance. The memorial had been placed in the most public spot in Doolbi and the unveiling was performed by Colonel Rankin who read out the names listed on the memorial. The top of the memorial is surmounted by a mauser rifle which was the gift of the War Trophies Committee.
