The plaque commemorates the completion of the building of the Freemasons Lodge in October 1926.

The Freemason Lodge is now the Mingenew Irwin Group Bankwest Centre.

On Monday evening last, a large attendance saw the opening of the Masonic Temple in Mingenew. The Temple was opened by the Hon. G. A. Kempton, M.L.C., who travelled from Perth for the occasion.
