A restored Neptune aircraft commemorates the association between 10 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force (R.A.A.F.) and the City of Townsville from March 1949 to December 1977.

This Neptune Aircraft A89 - 280 is dedicated to the people of the City of Townsville

To commemorate the long association between No 10 Squadron RAAF and this City
1st March 1949  -  31st December 1977

This aircraft was restored for display as an Air Force Heritage Project by permanent and reserve RAAF members and  volunteers from the RAAF Townsville Museum  

July to October 2012

This plaque was unveiled by Councillor Jenny Hill  Mayor of Townsville
