The plaque commemorates the site that was used as a training camp during World War Two.

It also pays tribute to the 10th Australian Imperial Force Training Depot, Medical Corps, Ordnance Corps, Army Service Corps and the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers that served in World War Two.
